โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ“– Past is Past - Move On!

In the Gospel Book of Mark chapter 4, verse 35 it says these words: "On that day, when evening came, He (Jesus of Nazareth) said to them, “Let us go over to the other side".

Dear friend, whatever happened last year of 2025 is now gone, it is history, and cannot be changed! There were some things that were good, but they are now in the past. There may have been some things that were not good, but they are also in the past, and can be forgiven, if sincerely and truthfully confessed. It is certain that however much we may try we cannot live in the past! We have today, and we face tomorrow, but yesterday with its joys and sorrows is irretrievably gone. What we did in past years cannot be changed – we cannot even change what we did yesterday. We can certainly learn from the past, but whether we like it or not, we have to move forward into the New Year ahead of us. Let us determine, like Apostle Paul to, “leave the past behind”, facing the future with real expectancy, as we firmly believe God for great things! I cannot tell you what lies ahead in this coming year, but I do know that it is in the control of the LORD, and that His plans for me, and for you, are only for our good. I am sure that you remember that wonderful text in (Jeremiah 29:11).

“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

As we enter into this new year; as we enter into 2026's uncharted waters – we all face an adventure ahead. You may be fearful in wondering where you are headed? You may be wondering what’s going to happen? Especially now with the brevity of life so very short, as we witness daily biblical prophetic signs in our world that are shaping up for a great climatic end that the Holy Bible talks about – that you and I are so privileged to be a part of it in our generation!

Let me share with you some reassuring positive thoughts about the adventure ahead. First of all, God will be with us. Keep in mind that “God will not take us where His grace can not keep us, and if God promised to be for us, then who can be against us!

Whatever it is that God has for you this new year – or wherever He is leading you – remember that old adage, “God will never take you where His will can not keep you.” As long as you are following God; as long as you keep your eyes fixed on the LORD Jesus Christ; as long as you keep your hand in His – you are safe. You will be okay no matter where this new year of 2026 takes us.

A second thing to remember as we face this New Year - is that God always calls us to ‘new’ places. God called Abraham from Haran to Canaan. God called me from England to Italy. Sometimes God may call us to physically leave where we are and go to new. But more likely He is calling us to new ‘spiritual’ places. We get so content with the old and familiar. Most of us like routine and order in our lives. New things throw us off. Strange things frighten us. Our human nature simply does not like change. But that is the desire of God. Change is inevitable if we are true followers of Jesus Christ!

Remember to remember these powerful words: "There is no growth without challenge, and there is no challenge without change."

Change is always hard for the man (or woman) who is stuck in a comfortable rut. For he has scaled down his living to that which he can handle comfortably and welcomes no change or challenge that would lift him. I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better! By God's grace being a born again believer in Christ for over 35 years, I can tell you from ministerial experience, It is definitely the most unhappy people who fear change. To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly! For it is God’s desire that you change for this new year 2026. He wants you to grow. He wants you to mature. He wants you to become bigger and better and fuller and richer than you were last year. To do that you need to change habits and attitudes and to change renew daily even your thought process to become more Christ-like! God is calling you to have a closer relationship with Him this new year 2026. He desires to be closer to you; to be more intimate with you. How you respond to this change will affect not only yourself, but those around you as well. This New Year, remember that God is calling you to change. He is calling you to new places, in Jesus Christ's loving and faithful name, Amén!

2026 has great things in store for you. There may be many challenges, trials and tests of your Christian faith, and certainly there will be temptation. But God is going to be there – so the best is yet to come. “God will not lead us where He can not keep us”. Bank on that. Trust in Him. And respond to the call God has on your life. Be willing to change and become anything God wants you to be. This new year be totally surrendered to God. Allow Him to purify your heart and mind and actions. Give Him permission to break your will and shape your spirit. This is going to be a grand adventure – and it will result in awesome blessings. Let’s thank Him for what He is going to do – before He even does it, Amén!

๐Ÿ™ LET US PRAY

"Heavenly Father, thank You so much for the blessings of the last year. Thank You for Jesus Christ dying for us and paying the price for our sins. Thank You for salvation. In gratitude we offer our lives, our hearts, our souls to You. Lead us - and we will follow. Speak to us - and we will listen. Command us – and we will obey. We know we can only do this by Your great love and amazing grace and tender mercies. But by grace and faith in You – we expect 2026 will be the best year ever, in Jesus Christ's loving and faithful name we pray - Amén!!!"

โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ“– A NEW YEAR

Even though we don’t know exactly what is ahead as we prepare for the new year 2026, here are some redemptive ways we can move forward and fulfill what GOD has for us, in JESUS CHRIST'S loving and faithful name. Enter the New Year free of any spiritual emotional baggage. The first thing is to let go of the baggage of the past. Release your grip upon any old hurts, wounds, or disappointments. They can bring with them the weights of bitterness,  malice, strife, anger, hatred, resentment, envy, pride, arrogance, disobedience, rebellion, contention and unforgiveness. These are the things that your soul can not afford to carry around for another year! The next thing is not to pick up the baggage of the future. GOD does not want you weighed down with cares, anxiety, and worry. Live each day, moment by moment, in the sufficiency of HIS great grace, and trust HIM in all things for tomorrow’s needs. With hands free to receive what GOD has for you, focus your faith on these five things:

1. Be Available:

…be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the MASTER, prepared for every good work (2 Timothy 2:21) … And Saul said, “Who are You, LORD?” And HE answered, “I am JESUS whom you are persecuting, now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9:5-6)

Be a yielded vessel available for everyday use, occasional use, or to be set aside for special occasions. The MASTER POTTER, the LORD JESUS CHRIST WHO formed you, knows best how to use you…and when to use you!

2. Be Dependent:

Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from GOD. (2 Corinthians 3:5)

Be assured that you are totally in need of HIM to be who HE has called you to be, and to do what HE asks you to do. Lean into HIS adequacy, life, and strength with 100 percent of your heart…that’s what thriving branches do when they’re in the vine.

3. Be Faithful:

Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. (1 Corinthians 4:2 NKJV)

Your faith in the New Year will be rewarded by HIM. Seek HIS approval…live under HIS smile…stay with it…. Choose obedience over sacrifice. HE is using you in more ways than you know.

4. Be Grateful:

Peace, peace, to him who is far away [both Jew and Gentile] and to HIM who is near! Says the LORD; “And I will heal him [making his lips blossom anew with thankful praise] (Isaiah 57:19).

Live in the atmosphere of thankfulness…it’s one of the healthiest ways to live!

5. Be Confident:

The LORD knows those who are HIS — But GOD’S truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The LORD knows those who are HIS,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the LORD stand apart from wickedness and withdraw from wrongdoing.” (2 Timothy 2:19)

The LORD knows your name — But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And HE who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine." (Isaiah 43:1)

You are no stranger to the LORD. GOD knows every detail of your life, and every need you face. Daily, you have HIS undivided attention! The LORD knows your heart — The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to HIM. (2 Chronicles 16:9)

HE understands where you are coming from — HE knows your intentions, and motivations — HE knows your deepest desires and quietest prayers.

Peace, peace, to him who is far away [both Jew and Gentile] and to him who is near! Says the LORD; “And I will heal him [making his lips blossom anew with thankful praise] (Isaiah 57:19)

The LORD knows your location — You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your SPIRIT! I can never get away from your presence! (Psalm 139:4-7)

GOD’S angels know where to find you! There is no “prayer mail” being rejected by heaven’s post office because your present address is unknown and the answers are undeliverable. GOD looks over you…you will never be forsaken or forgotten! The LORD knows your Calling — Apostle Paul, a servant of JESUS CHRIST, called to be an apostle, separated unto the Gospel of GOD. (Romans 1:1 KJV)

You are GOD’S appointed servant. HE knows how HE has gifted and equipped you. HE knows all HE will do for you both now and in the future. HE didn’t make a mistake regarding HIS giftings and HIS call upon your life, and HE will never confuse you with someone else!

Study and learn from these Holy Bible verses about GOD’S plan. Enter the New Year with GOD, and stay under the rest and strength of HIS yoke…HE has chosen the field where HE wants you to work, in JESUS CHRIST'S loving and faithful name, Amén!!!
